Mochi Time
Your streak shows the consecutive days you've completed a lesson on Mochi Time. Building consistent habits is key to language learning, and your streak serves as a motivating reminder to practice daily. Reminders in your notification settings can help you remember to do your lessons—simply turn them on and choose a time that suits your schedule.
Leaderboards are an exciting way to challenge yourself and compete with other Mochi Time learners in weekly contests. As you earn more XP (experience points) from each lesson, you'll climb higher on your leaderboard. Each week, you'll be matched with a new group of competitors. Head over to the Leaderboards tab in the app to join the competition and see how you rank!
Account Management
To update your Mochi Time username or email address, visit your settings and make the desired changes. Your username is visible on your weekly leaderboard. Be sure to tap “Save changes” after editing. If the update doesn’t take effect, it may be because the username is already in use by another account, as all usernames and emails must be unique. Try modifying the username by adding unique letters or numbers and save again. If the email address you want to use is already associated with another account, it indicates you may have previously registered with that email.
If you've forgotten your password and need to create a new one, tap “Forgot password” on the login screen within the app or visit https://mochitime.co/forgot_password and enter the email address linked to your Mochi Time account. If you signed up using Google or Facebook, you'll need to provide the email associated with those accounts instead. We will send a password reset link to that email, so be sure to check your inbox and spam folder if you don’t see it. Please note, if you registered with an incorrect email address, you will not be able to reset your password.
Visit the Mochi Time > Data to delete User Account / Data and to request a copy of all your personal data stored by Mochi Time. Please note that this process may take up to 30 days.
You might have received an email warning you about a data breach outside of Mochi Time that involved your personal information. This email is authentic, and we strongly recommend taking steps to protect and secure your data.
Subscription & Payments
Mochi Time Premium is an upgraded version of the Mochi Time app offering premium features such as an ad-free experience, unlimited Hearts to prevent mistakes from hindering progress, personalized practice sessions to target your errors, and unlimited attempts at challenges to master units. Subscribers also support Mochi Time’s mission to provide free, high-quality language education worldwide, as all users receive the same lessons regardless of subscription status. Importantly, starting or ending a subscription does not impact your learning progress or streaks.
Language learning is more enjoyable when shared — that's why we offer a Friends & Family Plan for Mochi Time Premium! You can now share all the benefits of Mochi Time Premium with up to five family members or friends, helping everyone stay motivated and achieve their goals together. Joining, starting, or canceling a Friends & Family Plan will not impact your individual learning progress or streaks.
Visit mochitime.co/redeem in a web browser (on a phone, tablet, or computer)
Enter your promo code and click “Redeem”
If you’re recognized as an eligible user, click “Claim offer”
Log in if you have a Mochi Time account, or if you don’t, create an account
Select a monthly, annual, or friends & family plan for after your free trial ends
Submit your credit card information (you will only be charged if you continue with Super after your free trial ends)
Start learning with Mochi Time!
You can cancel your Mochi Time Premium subscription at any time. Be sure to cancel through the same method you used to subscribe initially. Simply deleting the app or your account will not cancel your subscription.
Generally, in-app purchase charges are nonrefundable, and no refunds or credits are provided for unused portions of a subscription. Refunds are subject to the discretion of the payment processor (Google Play or Apple), which determines whether a refund request will be approved.
